Who processes your data
The controller is LuMar s.r.o., registered office Ábelová 33, 985 13 Ábelová, Slovakia, company ID (IČO): 51 026 708, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Banská Bystrica, section Sro, file No. 32652/S. We operate Penzión U Čechov and the website www.penzionucechov.sk.
For any matters concerning personal data, contact us at info@penzionucechov.sk or by post at our registered office. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require us to.
What data we process and why
News about the opening
- Data
- e-mail address, your area of interest if you choose one (stay, wedding, corporate event, dining, gift voucher), and the date and time of sign-up as a record of your consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying to any of our e-mails or by writing to info@penzionucechov.sk. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
A non-binding enquiry about a celebration, wedding or corporate event

- name, e-mail, phone (optional), type and expected date of the event, number of guests, whether guest accommodation is needed and your message

Providing your data is voluntary. Without an e-mail address, however, we cannot send you news or reply to you. We obtain data only from you.
Who has access to your data
We never sell your data or pass it to other companies for marketing. It is handled only by our technical service providers, who process it on our instructions under a contract:
- web hosting and e-mail provider — Websupport s.r.o., Bratislava, Slovakia. Newsletter sign-ups are also stored on its servers and all our e-mails are sent through it.
Where the law requires it, we may also provide data to public authorities such as courts or law enforcement.
Google services — only after your action
Fonts and all other parts of the website are served from our own server. Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA) connects to the website only in these two cases:
Google Maps
On the home page and the Ábelová & surroundings page the map loads only after you click “Show map”. Google then receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and may store cookies.
Google reCAPTCHA form protection
The forms (opening news and the non-binding enquiry) are protected against bots and spam by Google reCAPTCHA. It loads only when you start filling in a form. It evaluates information about your device and behaviour on the page (such as your IP address, browser data, mouse movements and time spent on the page) and may store cookies. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the forms from abuse — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you object, simply e-mail us at info@penzionucechov.sk.
Google may transfer data to the USA. The transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google LLC participates. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
Cookies and browser storage
Our website itself uses no cookies. In your browser’s temporary session storage (sessionStorage) we keep a single technical entry so that the intro animation is not shown on every visit to the home page. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the browser. Google services may store cookies — the map if you choose to display it, and reCAPTCHA while you fill in a form (see above).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
- have your data erased (Art. 17),
- restrict processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Send your request to info@penzionucechov.sk. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk, or with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.
Security and other information
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures — the website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and only authorised persons have access to the data. To protect the forms from abuse, we keep an irreversibly hashed fingerprint of the sending IP address for at most one hour. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. Our services are not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this information, for example when bookings open. The current version is always available on this page. The Slovak version is legally binding.
